5 Reasons you should be thinking of starting up your own small business.

Have you ever remembered attempting to start a new franchise opportunity? Some have even answered yes and taken action on it. Most of the people only think it over briefly, and then drop it. Not being totally sure of where do you start discourages many. Others think it would be an excess of work. Others succumb to inertia and do not go further.

Let’s see now, are all those reasons genuinely valid? Did they really consider the positive side? Did we evaluate the “pro” side or just the “con” side? Maybe we ought to take a more balanced approach. Let’s examine 5 positive reasons in favor of looking to owning a franchise eating place and see which ones ring true.

First, all the legwork and groundwork have been done for you. The franchisor has blueprinted your business so you won’t have to. I don’t like the location you might say. I completely understand your objection regarding the location but the franchisor spent big bucks to some guru to blueprint everything possible for that location to succeed. Certainly that’s a valid objection. However you need to consider that you, the franchisee, have saved yourself a lot of headaches for the preparations you would have done on your own to open your business. Furthermore, consider that the franchisor is supplying the vendors, training, licenses, training manuals, etc.

Second, you do not have to buy equipment, tables, silverware and other things required to operate on a each day basis. The principal reason behind that would be, you have already secured the financing and have been accepted by the company to operate their franchise. And in summation you will get help support 24/7 when you have questions or run into problems you are not sure how to handle.

Third, advertisement by the company is taken care of. They will provide you with banners and fliers to promote your business. Of course, you may want to do some additional advertisement on your own if you prefer. The franchisor may charge you for the ads, if so, probably a fraction of what it might cost to get it on your own. Another advantage, if permitted under your agreement, you might be able to purchase a non related food product such as, throw away plates and napkins, if you can get them cheaper from another vendor.

Fourth, you receive a detailed operation manual and the rights to use their trademarks, logos and recipes and access to their suppliers.

And fifth, you will have access to their operations and marketing tools.

As soon as you consider all the reasons and evaluate them, you will have to admit that a very compelling case can be made for beginning to consider the best way to owning a franchise business of your own. Please seek franchise advice from your attorney or a franchise attorney.
