New Paid Leave Law Effective Jan.1, 2011

Governor Schwarzenegger added a new paid leave requirement for California employers with 15 or more employees when he signed Senate Bill 1304. This new law, effective January 1, 2011, gives eligible employees up to 30 days’ paid leave in any one-year period for organ donation and up to five days’ paid leave for bone marrow donation. Services are available by phone, walk-in, and by appointment, M-Th, 8am-5pm, and Fridays by appointment only.

Due to mandatory furlough days and the Treasurer’s Holiday schedule, Room 110 and the SBAC will be closed from December 27th through December 30th. The SBAC will reopen for normal business hours on January 3, 2010.
